What' the scoop?
Story of gōdvvā (pronounced go-duh-waa) began when a Sydney based family was out for an after dinner long drive, Dad craved his favourite guilty pleasure: ice cream. He was not allowed second scoop, being diabetic. Out of that reasoning with his wife and son, emerged an idea to make ‘no added sugar’ frozen desserts!
His experiments resulted in incredible frozen desserts, inspired from childhood memories of ice creams made by his mother. Thus the hand-crafted delectable desserts, made for people with conditions and dietary limitations were created.
His friends and family loved these desserts and encouraged him to turn this idea into a business of guilt-free treats (well, almost), and the foundation of gōdvvā ('sweetness' in Marathi, an Indian regional language) was set.
gōḍvvā is a small business where all products are hand-made with natural ingredients, and churning is the only mechanised part of the process. Every care is taken to maintain product consistency, however, you may witness small variations in texture, flavours, colour and taste in each batch that we make.
